Kayaking Catalonia – Pyrenees

Banner Catala

For many years now we’ve ran a series of spring and summer weeks, primarily in the Catalan Pyrenees on the Noguera Pallaresa.

This year is no different, come join us in 2018! What do we offer?

We’re the most experienced english-speaking provider working on the Spanish side of Pyrenees with in depth knowledge of many of the rivers of Catalonia and neighbouring historic Aragon. Our local contacts give us the most up-to-date information.

The Riu Noguera Pallaresa, nestled in the Pallars Sobira region of Catalonia, and its main town of Sort in particular, have a long standing association with White Water sports. It has long been the ‘Spiritual Home’ of many White Water enthusiasts from wild water racers and slalom paddlers through to commercial rafters and since 2001 it has had a very strong association with Freestyle (it was also the site of round three of the ICF Freestyle World Cup in 2014).

This is why we offer a variety of weeks out there. With well over 50km of river, many different styles and grades of rapids to challenge different abilities of paddler and a local population who are thoroughly welcoming of ‘River People’; there really is something for everyone.

We also do tours across the Spanish side of the mountains taking in rivers through various stunning valleys in this beautiful mountain range.

In 2018 we wil be offering our:

Revolutionary Week – for budding freestylers, freeriders and freedom fighters. This week will be focussed on playing, both park and play and downriver fun. (Freestyle 3 Star available on request). 16th June – 23rd June.

Evolution Week – for river runners that wish to push their grade in as forgiving a learning environment as is possible. 23th June – 30th June.

Learn to Guide Week –  cancelled this year due to a bespoke booking week of 30 June – 07 July
